Marketplace Delegate Programme

As North America’s largest short-film market and one of the premier events in the short-film world, the CFC Worldwide Short Film Festival has an ongoing mandate to encourage the development of the short-film industry. That’s why we’re proud to continue the Marketplace Delegate Programme – bringing MORE of the Festival to you!

MORE Participating Filmmakers

Every year, the Festival receives many more quality works than we have room to screen. We want every short-filmmaker to get ahead, so we make every submitted film available to industry buyers and distributors through our Marketplace Library. The Marketplace Delegate Programme gives you the opportunity to come and represent your submitted film before a global industry audience.

MORE New Filmmakers

Haven’t submitted your film yet? Maybe you’re still trying to complete it. The Marketplace Delegate Programme includes all-access privileges at our “Short Films Big Ideas” Symposium on the business of short film. Get inside-track industry knowledge from leaders in the field and make the valuable contacts you will need throughout your career. With today’s competitive industry, it makes sense to invest in yourself by becoming a Marketplace Delegate.

MORE Industry Networking

There’s no doubt about it: The Guest Services Lounge at the Festival Business Centre is where deals are made, alliances announced, and partnerships are formed. For people doing business in the short film industry – or who want to do business here – the Worldwide Short Film Festival is the place to be...and becoming a Marketplace Delegate is the BEST way to get here.

MORE Parties & Special Events

Any film-festival insider will tell you that some of the most important experiences at any festival happen at the post-screening parties and swanky soirées. Marketplace Delegates get into the special events that happen every night of the Festival. Mix, mingle, schmooze, and get your Fest on in style as a Marketplace Delegate!

Marketplace Delegate Benefits

Who’s Eligible?

Any filmmaker who has submitted a film to the 2007 Worldwide Short Film Festival is automatically eligible to become a Marketplace Delegate. If you are a short-filmmaker who hasn’t submitted a film in 2007, you may still be eligible to become a Marketplace Delegate (especially if you’ve submitted a film to us in other years.) Representatives from companies or organizations with connections to or interest in the short film industry are also eligible for consideration.

How to become a Marketplace Delegate

Download the 2008 Marketplace Delegate Registration Application in PDF format here. Fill it out and return it by fax to the Guest Services Department at 416 445 9481 by May 30, 2008. The 2008 Marketplace Delegate Registration purchase price is $170.00; however, it costs nothing to apply. Successful applicants will receive a confirmation letter with instructions on how to proceed with the purchasing phase of the registration.
