The Working Lab

After a successful inaugural year, The Working Lab is back! Born of a desire to focus on works in progress, this lab provides an opportunity to workshop projects with industry leaders. Potential participants are invited to submit:

Up to 10 pages of script
OR
Up to 10 minutes of content
OR
A short they would like to develop a festival strategy for
OR
A project for which you want to develop publicity materials for.

Three delegates will be assigned to a professional where they will spend 2 hours pushing their projects forward. Participants will be expected to contribute to the discussion of two other projects, and to receive feedback/suggestions on their project for a minimum of 30 minutes each, thus enabling a group learning environment led by the mentor.

The Working Lab will accept the first 12 eligible applicants. All you need to do is submit your application form to shortfilmfest@cfccreates.com.

Deadline for submissions is Monday, May 17, 2010 at 6 p.m.

Symposium staff will contact the applicants (on a first come first served basis) to review the application and request payment of $20 until all the spots are filled. Mentor matches will be made by Symposium staff.

Please note that only one person can participate in the Working Lab for each project.

Below are the mentors that have confirmed. Please check back to see added mentors:
